About Dulwich & District u3a

Who we are and what we do

Dulwich & District u3a was formed in 2014 and is part of the nationwide u3a movement.

Our members are at a time in life when we can come together to learn for fun. We don’t have courses and qualifications – all our activities are run by and for our members. We are here for the joy of learning, sharing, personal development, and making friends.

We are a charity, self-governing and managed entirely by volunteers drawn from our membership. Our 900 plus members come from a wide area across South London, including Brixton, Camberwell, Dulwich, East Dulwich, Forest Hill, Herne Hill, Peckham, Streatham, and Sydenham.

We are committed to promoting diversity, inclusion and equality and have a policy to this effect that members are expected to abide by.

We have an elected committee to help run things and there are opportunities to get involved in the running of Dulwich & District u3a if you want.

Our most popular offering to members is our interest groups, of which there are many! Indoor and outdoor activities, art and music appreciation (wine too!), languages and women’s studies, and more! Indeed, there’s an A – Z listing here.

We also hold monthly open meetings with speakers. These talks are open to members and non-members and are free. No need to book – just turn up!

Members also have access to u3a events organised by London Region and nationally. All this for an annual membership fee of £15 (concessions available)! You can find the full range of benefits here.
