We meet to read translations of the surviving plays of (mainly) Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides and to enjoy discussing the many issues that arise about their plots, their characters, the very different ideas and beliefs held in mid 400 BCE and how we see these plays today. When possible we also like to go together to theatre productions of Greek drama, whether straight or reimagined in modern times.

We meet in private homes in Herne Hill.
