We run two mixed-ability Mah Jong groups, each meeting fortnightly. The larger group (Mah Jong 2) meets at Rosebery Lodge, while the other (Mah Jong 1) meets at the Convenor’s home in East Dulwich and is currently full. Mah Jong is like Whist or Rummy but played with attractive tiles. It’s more complex and great for keeping our brains active. While the aim is to win, much of the enjoyment lies in the challenge of playing the game’s intricate ‘hands’.
