We read and discuss a short story chosen by one of the members, who introduces it and the reasons for their choice. Though we read stories in English, they can be from a wide variety of countries and cultures. We aim to read our way through the classics and more established examples of the genre, as well as discovering new ones. As well as reading for pleasure, we are interested in the short story as a literary form, and what makes a good short story work for us.
